John received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Acadia University
and his Masters of Diplomacy (Terrorism) from Norwich University. He is a
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) with the American Society for
Industrial Security and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional
(CISSP). He has been qualified in Risk Assessment Methodology for
Water/Wastewater infrastructure (RAM-W) delivered through Sandia National
Laboratories, NM. He has also completed acquired the designation of Physical
Security Network Associate with the IP Institute.
CAREER AND SKILL SET
John’s professional career includes eleven years in the Royal Canadian Mounted
Police and a successful tenure as General Manager of a Vancouver based
electronic security integrator. Additionally, he has experience working with
large Engineering Consultants, as well as extensive telecommunications industry
experience, and presently is President of Enterprise Protection Associates. His
experience includes security planning, policy design, threat risk assessment,
and security design as well as employee training, guard force management, and
security contract administration. He provides a unique range of knowledge, from
conceptual policy and procedures through creation of design specifications in
both the physical and information security realms.
Peter Evans, CPP Peter is a Certified Protection Professional from the American Society
for Industrial Security International and a Licensed Security Management
Professional from the Attorney General of British Columbia. He is a member of
the Computer Security Institute and an associate member of the Association of
Certified Fraud Examiners.
CAREER AND SKILL SET
Peter’s professional career includes 25-years of service with the Royal
Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), having served in a number of posts throughout
Canada including Ottawa where he participated in the National Counter Terrorist
Program as a Team Leader within the Special Emergency Response Team. Upon his
retirement from the Force in 1997, Peter joined the Vancouver International
Airport Authority as Manager of Aviation Security and Emergency Planning, with
responsibility for security operations, emergency preparedness and departmental
liaison with various federal, provincial and municipal law enforcement and
intelligence agencies and commercial air carriers. Between 1999 and 2001, Mr.
Evans headed Corporate Protection Services for GT Group Telecom Services Corp.,
at the time one of Canada’s fastest growing national telecommunications
companies.
